About Us

We are a small but active group of weavers based in Walnut Creek, California, with members from throughout the San Francisco Bay area. Our members range from experienced weavers to beginning weavers and those with a general interest in fiber arts.

From October through May we usually meet on the third Friday of the month from 10-12 AM, at the Ygancio Valley Library in Walnut Creek. September, December and June meetings are held at a member’s home. We have a small study group that meets quarterly on a Saturday, making it possible for members to participate who are unable to meet during the week.

We are part of CNCH, the Conference of Northern California Handweavers, and we volunteer at the yearly conferences held in Northern California.

Over the past three years we have also had a small study group, where we look more closely into a particular weave structure or aspect of weaving over about a three month period. We then meet, share our experiences and help each other out with questions.

We welcome new members and guests. Although we usually meet in person at the Ygnacio Valley library, this year we have been providing a Zoom link for those unable to attend in person..

Membership in the guild is $30.00 individual, $40 per family, paid annually.

The Diablo Guild is approaching our 70th anniversay. Read more about our history here.
